What a great evening, funny, entertaining, interesting and it was a real honour to be there.
I did panic when she said that she was going to do a bit of "rapping" on "Blanket", I felt like shouting out "Please don't!" but it turned out to be the best part of the night:). My son has put a short video of it on YouTube.
I'll post a link later. |

| Nothing ever came close to the gig @ Bush Hall...until now. Immi is getting better and better all the time. Thank you for a memorable and fun night! xO |

Twas absolutely an unforgettable night thats for sure. It's so good to hear I-meg the album being played with just a piano, and having Immi tell us about what the songs were actually about made the night a really enjoyable one. I learnt a lot.
Oh and of course my love for a bit of Immi grows more.
Did anyone else completely LOVE the way how Immi screamed her head off during the song Rake It In? It was one of those moments where I realised the reason why I was standing there - in the audience. Moments like that. Genius!
Here is a photo of moi and the boyfriend sitting against the wall during the support act, anyone see us?
Yet again an amazing night. I think what made this even more special was the fact that the audience consisted of [in my opinion] the older variety of London people who appreciated music and didn't feel the need to scream madly all the time. The silence during the songs was amazing.
Thank you!

Don't particularly remember seeing you, but I did spill half a pint of Fruli over someone sitting there... |

| If you click on his name TomMc1985 at the top I think he has added 2 other short vids. Not bad quality considering the camera was £90 from Argos, he bought it that afternoon:) |

An amazing night!!
I firstly enjoyed watching the sound guy rebooting the desk before James came on...then doing the same again during Imogens set. There was panic and a 'wtf is going wrong' look in his eyes!!
Secondly, i so enjoyed listening to all the tracks, that in my opinion sounded 10 times better than they do on the album.
The tracks on the album have an alanis morisset sound to them - but listening to the same tracks on tuesday, it sounded much more like the imogen i first got to know via frou frou and speak for yourself.
some pics (not many and not very good) and videos - http://www.etribes.com/node/120928 |

When I read what you wrote thestowe I couldn't help but to nod my head in agreement. In terms of Details and Speak For Yourself, I-Megaphone, although containing many elements of what we know as Imogen Heap, is kind of ... off the beaten track a bit?
Yes.
Hearing them played now, some 9 or however many years later, you can really feel Immi's touch upon them, in a completely different light. I understood where the songs were coming from, and I really realised how much anger there was behind that album.
I listen to the songs now, and I get a completely different feel from them, and I take comfort in that.. before... I can't deny that I was at a loss with this album.
SO glad I went.
Also, glad you had an amazing night too |

i have to totally agree. i actually tended to skip the Imegaphone tracks as i didnt quite like the feel of them.
After attending the ICA gig i have utterly changed my mind. i cannot stop listening to the Imgeaphone album now and will definately buy the live versions when they come out |

She said that if the quality was good it would be on Itunes for people to download... and I don't think it will become into a CD, thats a bit too far.
But yes, she mentioned several times throughout the night when she restarted songs for this or that reasons that she wanted it to be good because it was being recorded for Itunes for us to download.
[Everyone who went got a free card for getting 10 songs off itunes, sounds like an easy Immi purchase if you ask me hehe]

I would cry too. :[ So far, I've checked every single day in the UK iTunes store if it's up yet! I'm in the US...so I hope, hope, hope she/they'll release it there. I've noticed only a few have been uploaded in the US Store... :[ Hope it gets here! Hope it gets out PERIOD!!! *sobs* I swear, I'd cry. :[[ And I won't be able to stay up to midnight anymore to check 'cause I've got P.E. first period in school. :/ And I'll need to be awake enough to take a shower. lol
Please! Immi! James! Tiff! Someone! Clearify if and when it will coming. :[ And if in the US iTunes Store!!! D: |

so am I right in assuming this is the "An Evening With i Megaphone - Live @ London Festival '07" album now available on iTunes?
If it is. . . wow @ having to wait nearly 2 years for the release, but Imogen makes it worthwhile eh?
I've just bought it, but haven't listened yet. . .
Your comments (above) are making me more interested ('i Megaphone', whilst Imogen and therefore great, has not yet found its place in my heart as a whole - only a few songs). |
